Welcome to the Philadelphia neighborhood of Bella Vista and the official site of the Bella Vista United Civic Association. Since 1996, Bella Vista United has been building a foundation upon which our neighborhood has grown and prospered. Bella Vista United is an independent non profit corporation registered with the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. Our members are hundreds of people who live and do business in our community.

Our mission has always been clear – making Bella Vista cleaner and safer while building a positive community foundation.

To that end, we plant trees for neighbors who want them; we hire teams of litter removal crews who have taken thousands of bags of litter off our streets; we have targeted owners of boarded-up properties and virtually eliminated community blight; we provide meals and other essential items and services to those in need; we have worked with families and local schools to support our educational institutions; we have worked to improve access to government services and local political leaders; we have helped businesses expand, grow and adapt to the changing market; and through annual events and celebrations, we have always tried to bring all Bella Vistans together.

Whether you are visiting, just moved here or, like my family, have called Bella Vista home for six generations, we welcome you and hope you enjoy visiting our website and learning more about Philadelphia’s greatest neighborhood and the civic association that keeps it great!
