Host a Coffee Clatch on issues that matter to you!

Beautification
Responsible for helping to make Bella Vista cleaner and greener. Assists with various “friends of” park associations within the community. Hires the litter removal crews of Bella Vista. Assists homeowners in getting trees planted in front of their homes. Helps remove graffiti.

Philanthropy
Responsible for assisting families of modest means and senior shut-ins with holiday meals, fans in the summer, and toys and gifts for children of families of modest means during the holidays.

Community Events
Responsible for the annual Christmas Tree and Hanukah Menorah lighting ceremonies; Holiday house decorating contest; annual Spring Fling Cocktail Party; annual Meet the Neighbors Party; assisting the 9th Street merchants for the annual Italian Festival; and various other childrens and senior citizens events throughout the year.

Government Affairs
Assists residents and members of Bella Vista’s business community with getting local government services; lending support or opposition to zoning and land use matters; actively opposes a waterfront casino in South Philadelphia; works with other civic groups in supporting responsible development and urban planning; provides membership improved access to government officials and candidates; hosts annual political debates

Immigrant Outreach
Responsible for reaching out and building bridges with new Bella Vistans from foreign countries.

The community newsletter, Bella Vista Life, is published four times a year and is delivered to 3,000 Bella Vista households. All entries are welcomed!
